Foods 6 - Students have been working on an online scavenger hunt to help them learn more about the new Canada Food Guide. The focus is not just on what people are eating but how they incorporate other things like socializing and culture into how they choose to eat.
Students have been learning about the importance of proper cleaning (hand washing, etc.) and how that helps to prevent the spread of bacteria. They have also had the opportunity to into the kitchen to begin familiarizing themselves with the space and equipment found there.

Students have been exposed to the kitchen space to begin to familiarize them with the equipment and safety practices. Students made playdough this week that they will use to practice their knife skills next week in preparation for making their first recipes.
